A 55-year-old man died in a tragic incident that occurred in the province of Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Luis Alberto Ferreyra lost his life after being attacked by a swarm of bees while heading to the cemetery to visit his mother's grave in the Loreto department.
According to local media reports, Ferreyra was driving his Renault Duster when he was surprised by the insects. The bee attack caused him to lose control of his vehicle and crash into a tree. The impact resulted in the truck catching fire with the man trapped inside, leading to his immediate death.
Authorities are considering the hypothesis that Ferreyra suffered an allergic reaction to the bee stings and, despite this, attempted to continue driving unsuccessfully. After the tragic event, the Loreto Volunteer Fire Department intervened to extinguish the fire and recover the charred body.
Luis Alberto's body was transferred to the Judicial Morgue of the Independencia Hospital, while the investigation was handed over to prosecutor MartÃn Silva to clarify the details of this unfortunate accident.
