Vélez Sarsfield defender, Valentín Gómez, expressed his satisfaction with the team's victory and returning to winning ways, highlighting the importance of this achievement. The international player with the Argentina U-20 National Team shared his opinion on the state of the Vélez facilities in Ituzaingó, expressing his dissatisfaction with the training conditions they face.
"From that side, a bit frustrated too because afterwards we have to step up and we are responsible for the bad moment we are going through but the conditions in which we train... The pitches are not in the best state, the locker room needs remodeling, many things need to be done for Vélez to continue being what it is, a great club," Gómez indicated.
The player mentioned the situation at the Vélez facilities, highlighting that they had to buy fans to improve the resting conditions during the concentration. He also criticized the lack of responsibility shown by the club's management regarding the facilities and the team's preparation.
Regarding his failed transfer to Udinese in Italy, Gómez held American mogul Foster Gillett and the Vélez management responsible for the negative outcome of the deal. Despite attracting interest from foreign clubs, Gillett's maneuver caused the signing to fall through, leaving the player in a complicated situation.
Finally, after returning to train with Vélez and being a starter in the match against San Martín de San Juan, Gómez expressed his gratitude for the support of the fans and his commitment to the team despite the difficulties faced.
