March to Demand Justice for Ezequiel Altamira

On Saturday, November 2, a march will take place in Ituzaingó to demand justice for the crime of Ezequiel Altamira, the 16-year-old teenager who was murdered by criminals outside a nightclub. The gathering will take place at 9:00 AM at Presidente Perón street number 7521, in front of the nightclub The Club, which the victim attended with his friends on the morning of Saturday, October 26.

Graciela Sosa, mother of a young man murdered in January 2020 in Villa Gesell, expressed her solidarity with the family of Ezequiel Altamira and called for mobilization in search of justice. 'We will gather at the door and walk to the square as he did to ask for justice for Ezequiel. Justice,' Sosa said through her social media. Although the case of Altamira was a homicide during a robbery, the similarity with her son's case motivates Sosa to join the call for a quick clarification by the Justice and authorities.

As part of the investigation being carried out by the police and the prosecutor's office, with three detainees involved in the crime, it is expected that the march will help pressure for responses and progress in the case. Two of the detainees are minors, which has sparked a debate about the criminal responsibility of minors in such serious cases. 'Today it was Ezequiel's turn, but it could have been any of us,' say the family and friends of Altamira, highlighting the importance of the mobilization and the demand for justice.

The autopsy conducted on Altamira revealed that a blow to the left temple was what caused his death, presumably inflicted by a punch carried by one of the assailants. The preliminary result of the examination indicates that this blow caused a skull fracture in the parietal region, generating a hemorrhage that led to the young man's death hours after the attack.

In this context, the mother of Fernando Báez Sosa, a young man murdered under similar circumstances in 2020, expressed her condolences to the family of Ezequiel Altamira. 'It is very sad to lose a child,' she noted regarding the tragedy they are going through.
