Rafael Di Zeo Banned from Attending Boca Juniors Match

Rafael Di Zeo traveled to Córdoba this Thursday ahead of the match that Boca will play against Talleres at the Mario Alberto Kempes stadium, but upon arrival he was notified by security authorities that he is still subject to the right of admission, and therefore cannot enter the venue. According to the Argentine News Agency, the situation arose prior to a special match, as the 'xeneize' team will have the support of 11,000 visiting fans at the Córdoba stadium, located in the Sur Artime stand, with access via a QR code sent by email. The restriction on Di Zeo was ratified days ago by the national government through Decree 180/2026, published on March 26 in the Official Gazette. Thus, while Boca will have its fan support in Córdoba, Di Zeo will have to follow the match from outside due to the existing prohibition. There, the hierarchical appeal filed by the head of Boca's barra against the resolution that had confirmed his ban from attending sporting events nationwide was rejected. The official text also stated that with this decision, the administrative route was exhausted, leaving only the option to go to court. According to the decree, the measure was based on previous precedents and Resolution 1167/24 of the then Ministry of Security, which imposed the indefinite restriction on him. Furthermore, the Official Gazette emphasizes that the decision was considered a preventive measure to safeguard public safety at football spectacles.
