Buenos Aires, March 14 (NA) – The accused in the murder of police officer Luis Alejandro Azabal, who would have been confused with a thief in the Villa Belgrano neighborhood, Córdoba province, was released by decision of the Instruction Prosecutor's Office of District 4 Turn 6. Prosecutor Victor Hugo Chiapero ordered the release of the 39-year-old neighbor, who was detained for the crime of aggravated homicide and illegal possession of a war weapon, according to information from the local Public Prosecutor's Office. 'The acting Prosecutor's Office continues to adopt all corresponding measures for the instruction of the case,' they stated from the MPF. The event occurred this Thursday night at Neper street 5900, in Córdoba, when Subofficer Principal Luis Alejandro Azabal presented himself, along with other colleagues, at the home of a man who had notified the authorities about thieves roaming the area. Even so, the curious thing about the case is that when the officials arrived at the house, they found the door open. As he peeked to see if anything had happened inside, the homeowner shot Azabal and the main hypothesis is that he was confused into believing he was one of the criminals.
