In Ciudadela, Buenos Aires, a macabre crime has taken place in which men decapitated a person, leaving the head among the garbage and the body in a boarding house. A detective involved in the case mentioned that this act seems to be a message, raising several questions due to the proximity between the two locations.
Prosecutor Melisa Di Giorgi, in charge of the investigation, ordered a raid on the boarding house after receiving an anonymous call that provided the location of the corpse and warned about the plans of those responsible to dispose of the rest of the body. The body, which showed signs of violence, was found fully clothed.
Authorities suspect that the boarding house where the body was found operated as a refuge for addicts and possibly as a center for drug-related activities. The discovery was made possible thanks to a combination of analysis of security cameras and a 911 call, leading to the arrest of the boarding house owner as the main suspect, who expressed surprise at what had happened.
The prosecutor and detectives are working to identify the victim, clarify the motivations for the crime, and find those responsible. The case, which is linked to drug trafficking, has shocked the residents of Ciudadela, who report increasing insecurity in the area.
Investigators are considering the possibility that this is a settling of accounts between groups linked to drug trafficking, given the brutality of the crime. The detainee claimed not to know about the body on his property and described the victim as a friend in a homeless situation. Both the head and the body will undergo autopsy to determine the exact causes of death, while the investigation continues to clarify this chilling event.
