Fabian Rodriguez, a 52-year-old man, lost his life trying to protect his 20-year-old son from a sexual abuse perpetrated by a relative. Rodriguez requested a restraining order, but was fatally stabbed by the accused after not receiving a response to his request.
According to local reports, Fabian's mother was trying to remove her five children, aged 12, 11, 10, 5, and 2, from a situation of abuse after the eldest son revealed being a victim. Fabian had traveled from Añelo to Catriel to report at the local police station and request protective measures for his children against the alleged abuser.
Despite asking for a restraining order and not receiving a favorable response from the authorities, Fabian returned home, where the situation became public. Neighbors and family organized a march seeking justice, although Fabian initially did not want to participate. Later, he was attacked by his mother's ex-partner and other individuals, resulting in multiple stab wounds and ultimately losing his life in the hospital due to the severe injuries.
Prosecutor Leandro Gómez took charge of the investigation and seized a knife that was allegedly the weapon used in the attack. Witnesses joined the process, providing details that will help clarify what happened in this tragic event.
