Three UOCRA delegates were arrested in Berazategui following an armed conflict between factions of the union. At least six people were injured during the incident which revolved around a lottery for jobs in a housing plan.


Violence in Berazategui: Arrests in Union Clash

Three delegates from the Union of Construction Workers of the Argentine Republic (UOCRA) were detained in Berazategui after an armed clash between rival factions of the union left at least six people injured. The incident took place during a call for the lottery of job positions for the construction of a housing plan in Plátano.

According to the police report sent to the Argentine News Agency, three addresses of those involved in the events were identified after several field investigations. The detainees were identified as Damián Vázquez, a 34-year-old former UOCRA delegate, who allegedly shot Luís Benítez, Mariano Javier Caliba, 39 years old, and Sebastián Calestino Pereyra, 34, who was carrying a knife at the time of the attack.

The case was taken by prosecutor Ichazo from UFI No. 1 of Berazategui, who ordered the detention of those mentioned in relation to the crimes of weapon abuse, injuries, resisting authority, and damages.
