The president of Racing Club, Víctor Blanco, dismissed the statements of the Argentine coach of Brazil's Corinthians, Ramón Díaz, before the return match of the semifinals of the Copa Sudamericana. After the 2-2 draw in San Pablo between Racing and Corinthians, Díaz incorrectly claimed that he had never lost at the Presidente Perón Stadium in Avellaneda. Blanco responded to these words by labeling them as "smoke for the crowd."
Blanco also expressed his pride in the performance of Racing's players in the draw, highlighting that it was a dream to reach these stages. He felt very proud to see so few representatives from Racing and Argentina in the match. In addition, the president of the institution mentioned the difference between Argentine and Brazilian football, acknowledging that Racing cannot compete economically with Brazilian teams.
Referring to the commitment and loyalty of the players, Blanco emphasized that Racing is a team where values like unity and dedication are above other matters. Although he recognized that the gap with Brazilian teams is narrowing, he pointed out the importance of maintaining the cohesion of the squad over time to continue competing at the highest level.
