Racing and Huracán have reached an agreement for the transfer of forward Matko Miljevic, although the midfielder's arrival in Avellaneda was delayed due to the inability to undergo a medical examination immediately, which will only take place next Monday. After several days of negotiations and numerous twists, the managements sealed the deal on Friday evening, according to the Argentine News Agency. However, as the understanding was reached at the last minute, the player could not get an appointment for the medical tests, a situation that postponed his formal incorporation into the Academy. Diego Milito and Abel Poza, presidents of Racing and Huracán, met on Friday evening, and at first, both left with the feeling that the transfer had fallen through. Nevertheless, Milito re-established contact a few hours later and managed to close the agreement: Racing will pay three million dollars for 80% of the pass, in 16 equal installments. Avellaneda club's initial idea was for Miljevic to undergo the medical tests on Wednesday, January 7, along with Valentín Carboni, who arrived on loan from Inter and is already participating in the preseason. Finally, the 24-year-old midfielder, born in Miami, will have to wait until the beginning of next week to complete this step. Meanwhile, the former Argentinos Juniors and Newell's player is considering his options: One option is to travel to Asunción to join the team's training sessions under Gustavo Costas, who will face Universidad de Chile on January 18 in a friendly match at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción.
