Buenos Aires, Feb 23 (NA) – Defender Marcos Rojo suffered a tear in the adductor muscle of his right lower leg, as confirmed by studies he underwent. He will not be in the squad for the match in which Racing will host Independiente Rivadavia. According to the Argentine News Agency, the player had to be replaced by Franco Pardo at halftime of the match against Boca last Friday at La Bombonera. This Monday, the extent of the injury was confirmed, which rules him out of the match next Thursday at 17:15 in Avellaneda. In this situation, coach Gustavo Costas is evaluating two alternatives to face the Mendoza team. They are Nazareno Colombo and Agustín García Basso, who were on the bench in the previous match. Meanwhile, player Baltasar Rodríguez has discomfort from a blow to his back that forced him to come off during the second half of the same match. However, the coaching staff is optimistic about his recovery, and if he does not recover in good condition, his place will be taken by Franco Zuculini.
