
To ensure the safety of attendees at the match between Racing and Botafogo for the final of the Recopa Sudamericana, the Agency for the Prevention of Violence in Sport (APREVIDE) has implemented a special operation in the vicinity of the stadium. A total of 1,000 agents from the Buenos Aires Provincial Police, 180 private security personnel, and 300 UTEDYC employees will be deployed.
Entry for Racing fans will be allowed through General Paz and Colón streets, Italia and Colón, and Alsina and Díaz Vélez, while Botafogo supporters will be able to enter via Avenida Colón and Alsina. The stadium gates will open at 18:30 and access will be differentiated for both fan groups. Additionally, it has been announced that the entry of insignia or clothing from other clubs, as well as flags with violent messages, will be prohibited.
APREVIDE has warned that those exhibiting violent behavior will be identified and sanctioned with a prohibition on attendance in accordance with the law. Furthermore, the prohibition on the use of pyrotechnics has been reiterated, although the entry of confetti will be allowed after passing the police check. Fans are advised to arrive early and avoid racist or discriminatory expressions during the match.
Racing will face Botafogo at the Cilindro de Avellaneda this Thursday in the first leg of the final of the Recopa Sudamericana. The aim of these measures is to ensure that the match takes place in a safe and incident-free environment.
