Internal Struggle of Peronism: Cristina vs Milei

The Minister of the Interior, Eduardo De Pedro, expressed last night that the definition of what type of Peronism is desired in Argentina is currently at stake, whether it is the one led by Cristina Fernández de Kirchner or the one represented by economist Javier Milei. This event was broadcast and disseminated this Tuesday.

De Pedro, who is part of La Cámpora, described the internal party situation as a disordered, confusing, and personalistic process, characterized by selfishness and egolatry. He also compared the Argentine political situation with that of Brazil.

The Kirchnerist sector launched the "Cristina President" table in Avellaneda, in a context where there is a dispute for the leadership of the Justicialist Party between Governor Ricardo Quintela and other sectors.

The event took place in the municipality of Avellaneda, under the administration of Mayor Jorge Ferraresi, who has been identified as one of the promoters of Quintela's candidacy for the PJ.

Prominent figures such as National Senator Eduardo 'Wado' De Pedro, union leader Abel Furlán, and legislators Mario "Paco" Manrique, Vanesa Silvey, and Emmanuel González Santalla were present at the meeting. De Pedro stated: "I can't imagine Lula's (da Silva) closest comrades against him."

Electoral judge María Romilda Servini de Cubría was in charge of the PJ internal situation, having 24 hours to make a decision regarding the dispute. If Quintela's list is invalidated, Fernández de Kirchner's list would be declared the winner. Otherwise, elections would proceed on November 17.
