Following the announcement of the closure of the graphic company Anselmo L. Morvillo S.A., the workers, led by the Internal Commission, decided to occupy the plant in defense of the 250 threatened jobs. Sebastián Rodríguez, General Secretary of the Internal Commission, lamented the employer's attitude, which announced the cessation of activities without offering explanations and has remained absent since then.

In response to the situation, an open plenary of workers, internal committees, and unions was called outside the factory in Avellaneda, followed by a press conference to announce a mobilization and expand the struggle plan against the closure. The indefinite stay at the plant was decided as a measure of resistance, highlighting the importance of defending jobs, working conditions, and rights acquired over the years.

Solidarity with the workers has manifested in different sectors and media, while the employer has remained aloof even after the mandatory conciliation issued by the Ministry of Labor that was not complied with. The company's statement about the cessation of activities generated uncertainty among the employees, who seek answers and face the possibility of being fired in a context of labor crisis and company closures in Argentina.

The situation at Anselmo L. Morvillo S.A. is part of a broader context of mass layoffs in various sectors, reflecting a worrying trend within the labor movement in the country. The workers, firm in their stance of resistance, continue at the plant awaiting solutions while denouncing the lack of dialogue and the absence of the employer amid the crisis facing the graphic industry in Argentina.
