The technical director of Independiente, Julio Vaccari, will need to decide who will replace midfielder Iván Marcone, who will miss the next match against San Lorenzo due to accumulation of yellow cards. Everything indicates that Vaccari would opt for Rodrigo Fernández Cedrés instead of Marcone in the midfield alongside Felipe Loyola and Luciano Cabral, leaving David Martínez out.
"Although Friday's morning training before the Saturday match against San Lorenzo in the ninth round of Zone B of the Torneo Apertura would be missing, it seems that Rodrigo Fernández Cedrés would start for the first time since arriving at the club in the last transfer market," Vaccari shared.
Since his arrival on loan for a year, the 29-year-old Uruguayan midfielder has only played two matches. On the other hand, Vaccari still needs to resolve who will occupy the winger position between Santiago Montiel and Diego Tarzia. Montiel trained normally, but his presence in the starting eleven is still not guaranteed.
The probable lineup to face San Lorenzo as visitors on Saturday at 5:00 PM would be: Rodrigo Rey; Federico Vera, Kevin Lomónaco, Sebastián Valdéz, Álvaro Angulo; Felipe Loyola, Rodrigo Fernández Cedrés, Luciano Cabral; Santiago Hidalgo, Gabriel Ávalos, and Diego Tarzia or Santiago Montiel.
