Tonight, in the town of Avellaneda, in southern Buenos Aires, a warehouse collapsed due to an intense fire that engulfed it within minutes. The incident began around 8:30 PM in a building located at the intersection of Belisario Hueyo and Rucci, across from the Torres Pueyrredón.
Several firefighting teams from Avellaneda, Sarandí, Wilde, and Lanús responded after receiving alert calls from neighbors. While trying to extinguish the flames around 9:30 PM, one of the walls gave way and caused the entire structure of the warehouse to collapse. The large flames were visible from several kilometers away and were dangerously approaching one of the nearby towers.
Amid the chaos, residents, who were documenting the situation, fled hastily as the warehouse came down. Many of the captured videos were shared online and went viral within minutes.
