In the city of Apóstoles, Misiones province, a seven-month-old baby was placed under police protection after being left alone at home. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), the intervention was activated following a 911 call, which allowed the minor to be placed under immediate protection, with judicial intervention and the involvement of the Childhood area. The seven-month-old baby had been left alone inside a house after his mother left the residence in the city of Apóstoles. Around 10:00 a.m., officers from the Third Precinct of Regional Unit VII, along with personnel from the Women's Precinct, went to a home located at the intersection of Chaco and Rivadavia streets. The police officers spoke with the baby's 25-year-old sister, who had left the house, leaving her seven-month-old baby inside. With authorization and accompaniment from the complainant, police personnel broke into the property and confirmed that the minor was alone, sleeping, and proceeded to immediately place him under their protection. In response to the situation, the Women's Precinct got involved to guarantee the child's comprehensive protection. Likewise, notice was given to the Director of Childhood, who ordered that the baby be provisionally handed over to his aunt, who would take care of him.
