Argentina Prepares for Key Match Against Peru

The coach of the Argentine national team, Lionel Scaloni, is preparing for the match this Tuesday against Peru, corresponding to the twelfth matchday of the South American Qualifiers. However, he has received the news of the new absences of Nahuel Molina and Cristian Romero.

Nahuel Molina, right-back of Atlético de Madrid, presented discomfort in the back of his right thigh, while Cristian Romero, central defender of Tottenham, has been dealing with a problem since his last match in the Premier League. Romero played the match against Paraguay with an injection and had to be substituted at halftime to avoid worsening the injury, so he will return to Europe for his recovery.

Despite the difficulties, left-back Nicolás Tagliafico also got injured during the match against Paraguay, although he is doing everything possible to be fit for the next game.

In light of these absences, coach Scaloni decided to call up Giuliano Simeone to reinforce the Argentine squad. Previously, the team already knew that they would not be able to count on Nicolás González, Lisandro Martínez, and Germán Pezzella due to various injuries.

Scaloni is evaluating possible replacements for the injured players and is considering options to cover the vacancies. Gonzalo Montiel could replace Nahuel Molina, while Leonardo Balerdi would be the substitute for Cristian Romero. Regarding Nicolás Tagliafico, if he does not recover in time, Facundo Medina could take his place on the field.
