The draw for the 2025 Club World Cup will take place in the United States, where Boca Juniors and River Plate will represent Argentina. The competition will run from June 15 to the final on July 13.

Boca had to wait for Nacional from Uruguay not to reach the semifinals, being eliminated by São Paulo. The draw is scheduled for December 5 at 3 PM, Argentina time.

So far, 31 clubs have qualified for the tournament, including teams like Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, among others. Six South American teams will compete in the tournament, two of them, Boca Juniors and River Plate, qualified based on the Conmebol ranking, while the last four Copa Libertadores champions will occupy the remaining spots.

The event will be held in Miami, with MetLife Stadium in New Jersey chosen as the venue for the final, with a capacity of 82,500 spectators. River Plate, led by Marcelo Gallardo, managed to qualify by earning the necessary points after reaching the knockout stage of the 2024 Libertadores.
