Franco Colapinto impressed by finishing in tenth place in Austin in Formula 1. The Argentine driver still has five races left this season to complete the 2024 calendar. In the next race in Mexico, he will face 71 laps on the 4,304-kilometer circuit with 17 corners that opened in 1963.
Colapinto has scored points in two of the four races he has competed in, accumulating five points so far. He stood out in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and in the last competition. After his performance in Austin, the Williams team decided to change the surname of their star driver, creating the nickname "ColaPOINTo" for him.
With the next race scheduled in Mexico, followed by Brazil, the United States, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, Colapinto will continue competing in Formula 1. The Mexican Grand Prix will take place from October 25 to 27, and the Argentine driver is in 18th position in the individual standings.
The Mexican circuit has the peculiarity of being located 2,000 meters above sea level, which means that drivers must adapt to the change in altitude. This means that both Colapinto and the other competitors will need to specifically train for this challenge in the upcoming event.
