Final Definition of Relegations in the Primera Nacional

The last date of the Primera Nacional has left the teams that could be relegated by the end of the 2024 season still uncertain. In Zone A, teams like Patronato, Arsenal, Talleres, and Guillermo Brown are at risk, while in Zone B the situation compromises Atlético de Rafaela and Brown de Adrogué.

According to the established format for this season of the Primera Nacional, which contemplates three relegations, teams are fighting to stay in the category. Jorge Vivaldo, coach of Guillermo Brown, has expressed that they need certain results on the last date to have the chance to play for promotion, while Atlético de Rafaela would just need to equal or surpass the result of Brown de Adrogué to avoid direct relegation and play a decisive match for survival.

The decisive date is approaching, with all the matches of the last round scheduled to take place simultaneously. In Zone A, the team managed by Mario Gómez needs to win their last match and hope for adverse results from other teams to secure their place in the category. Arsenal is in a compromised position, with 37 points, one more than Talleres.

In Zone B, Brown de Adrogué and Atlético de Rafaela will determine their fate against each other in the last match. Although tied on points, the goal difference currently favors Brown de Adrogué. Guillermo Brown from Puerto Madryn is in the last position and needs to win in the last round, as well as hope for unfavorable results from Talleres de Remedios de Escalada, to avoid direct relegation.

Survival in the first section is contested among four teams, of which only two will be relegated. In Zone B, only two teams still have the possibility of relegation, among them Talleres de Remedios de Escalada, which needs a positive result on the last date to remain in the category. The relegation system will include two direct relegations and one determined by an interzonal match between the last teams of each section.
