Revealing the Curious Nickname of Leandro Paredes

During her participation in Susana Giménez's program, Myriam Benítez, the mother of soccer player Leandro Paredes, revealed a curious nickname her son had when he was little: "El Cebolla". This nickname originated in reference to the popular soap opera "Cebollitas", which marked an era in Argentine television.

"They called him El Cebolla because at that time he dressed like the characters from the show," Miriam shared, surprising both Susana and the audience. The soccer player, who currently plays for Roma, took the opportunity to send a special greeting to his mom for Mother's Day, touching both Myriam Benítez and mothers throughout Argentina with his message.

With long hair and always with a ball by his side, Leandro stood out from a very young age for his talent in soccer and his charisma. Myriam Benítez also shared details of his childhood, such as his debut at the age of 4 in neighborhood baby soccer. "At 8 months he started walking to chase after a ball," she proudly recounted, making it clear that Paredes' passion for soccer was present from his first steps.
