Franco Colapinto to Race in Mexico Grand Prix

The Argentine Formula 1 driver, Franco Colapinto, will have another competitive weekend at the Mexican Grand Prix following his outstanding performance in the United States. Colapinto, who is part of the Williams team, managed to qualify in Q3 of the Sprint race in the U.S. and finished tenth in the main race, thus earning a point in his tally despite starting from fifteenth place.

During the past weekend at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, he was close to securing an extra point for the fastest lap, but Alpine decided to bring Esteban Ocon into the pits to put on soft tires, preventing Colapinto from achieving that feat. Now, the Argentine driver is preparing to face the challenge of competing in Mexico.

Colapinto's participation in the Mexican Grand Prix will begin with Free Practices 1 and 2 on Friday at 15:30 and 19:00 respectively. On Saturday, he will complete the last practice session at 14:00, followed by qualifying that will start at 18:00. Finally, the race will take place on Sunday at 17:00 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.

This will be Colapinto's sixth Formula 1 Grand Prix, having competed in Italy, Azerbaijan, Singapore, and the United States, where he also had the opportunity to race in a Sprint race. Notably, he has not finished below twelfth place in any of his races, achieving remarkable results such as ninth place in Azerbaijan, eleventh in Singapore, and tenth in the main race of the United States after finishing twelfth in the Sprint race.
