Argentine Teams Kick Off Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana Group Stages

On Tuesday, April 7, Argentine clubs Boca Juniors, Racing, Independiente Rivadavia, Tigre, and Barracas Central will begin their campaigns in continental tournaments. Boca and Rivadavia will play in the Libertadores, while Racing, Tigre, and Barracas will compete in the Sudamericana.


Argentine Teams Kick Off Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana Group Stages

The group stages of the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana will begin this Tuesday, April 7, with Boca Juniors and Racing playing their first matches in the continental tournament that day. As reported by the Argentine News Agency, the "Xeneize" will play at 9:30 PM against Universidad Católica of Chile in the Libertadores, while the "Academy" will have to visit Bolivian Independiente Petrolero from 7:00 PM, playing in the Sudamericana. Additionally, Independiente Rivadavia will also make its debut in the continent's main competition, receiving Bolívar, while in the Sudamericana, Barracas Central will also debut against Brazilian Vasco Da Gama, and Tigre will face Alianza Atlético of Peru. With the start of each season, the hopes of Argentine football fans are mainly focused on the beginning of the international cups, whose group stages will begin this Tuesday, April 7. In the Libertadores, two Argentine teams will be in action. For its part, Boca will face its return to this stage after two years of absence, measuring itself against Universidad Católica of Chile, as a visitor, from 9:30 PM.
