Argentine driver Franco Colapinto (Alpine) will compete in the Japanese Grand Prix, the third round of the Formula 1 championship. This Grand Prix has been held continuously since 2009 at the Suzuka Circuit, which features 18 corners and a length of 5.807 kilometers. According to the Argentine News Agency, Colapinto's activities will begin on Thursday evening, with the first free practice session starting at 11:30 PM (Argentina time) and running until 12:30 AM Friday. Just a few hours later, at 3 AM, the second free practice session will begin. On Friday at 11:30 PM, the final practice session will start, while the qualifying session will be at 3 AM on Saturday. Finally, the Japanese Grand Prix race will be on Sunday the 29th at 2 AM, when Colapinto will attempt to repeat his performance at the Chinese GP, where he scored points for the first time in over a year by finishing 10th. If the event unfolds as it did last year, when overtaking was virtually impossible at Suzuka, qualifying could be key in this Japanese Grand Prix. However, this season has seen several overtakes in all races due to new regulations, so there could be several surprises. As for the championship battle, the leader after two rounds is British driver George Russell of Mercedes, although the victory in the last round went to his teammate, Italian Kimi Antonelli, who at just 19 years old wants to prove he is ready to fight for the title. One step below, but very close to Mercedes' incredible level, are the Ferrari drivers: Monegasque Charles Leclerc and British driver Lewis Hamilton.
