The draw for the group stage of the Copa Libertadores, which will feature six Argentine teams, will take place this Thursday starting at 8:00 PM at the CONMEBOL headquarters in Luque, Paraguay. According to the Argentine News Agency, the only Argentine team in Pot 1 will be Boca Juniors, which will return to this competition after a two-year absence. The other teams in Pot 1 will be Flamengo, Palmeiras, and Fluminense from Brazil, Peñarol and Nacional from Uruguay, and Liga Deportiva Universitaria of Quito and Independiente del Valle from Ecuador. Regarding Pot 2, the Argentine teams will be Lanús and Estudiantes de La Plata, accompanied by Corinthians and Cruzeiro from Brazil, Cerro Porteño and Libertad from Paraguay, Bolívar from Bolivia, and Universitario from Peru. Furthermore, in Pot 3, the only Argentine team will be Rosario Central, while the other teams grouped in the same manner are Universidad Católica and Coquimbo Unido from Chile, Junior and Independiente Santa Fe from Colombia, Always Ready from Bolivia, Deportivo La Guaira from Venezuela, and Cusco from Peru. Finally, in Pot 4 will be Platense and Independiente Rivadavia from Mendoza, who will play in the Copa Libertadores for the first time in their history after winning the respective Torneo Apertura and Copa Argentina 2025 titles. The list is completed by Deportes Tolima and Independiente Medellín from Colombia, Universidad Central from Venezuela, Mirassol from Brazil, Barcelona from Ecuador, and Sporting Cristal from Peru.
