Atlético Tucumán secured a resounding 4-0 victory over Estudiantes de Río Cuarto in the fifth round of Zone B of the 2026 Argentine Apertura Tournament. This marked the "Decano's" first win in the competition. Leandro Díaz was the standout player, scoring a brace. The other goals were scored by midfielder Renzo Tesuri and Nicolás Laméndola. This victory allowed Atlético Tucumán to secure their first points of the tournament, while Estudiantes de Río Cuarto continues its disastrous campaign with only one point.
