Tiziano Gravier achieved a historic result for Argentine sports by finishing 28th in the super-G discipline at the Winter Olympics taking place in Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo. Gravier, the son of model Valeria Mazza, recorded a time of 1:29.06. In this discipline, the gold medal went to Swiss skier Franjo von Allmen with a time of 1:25:32, silver to American Ryan Cochran-Siegle (1:25:45), and bronze to Swiss Marco Odermatt (1:25:60). According to the Argentine News Agency, this strong result allowed the 23-year-old Gravier to surpass the 30th place achieved by Nicolás Arsel at the Salt Lake City 2002 games, which had been the best performance by an Argentine in the category. In this way, Gravier consolidates himself as one of the leading figures in Argentine winter sports. My dad is more of a strategist, he likes numbers and speed. Starting from 31st place on a track already very demanding due to the passage of competitors, he managed to finish in 28th place. Before his participation in these Winter Olympics, Gravier detailed in a television interview how his family lives their passion for sports: 'There is a bit of everything. At the 2020 Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, he achieved 7th place, which was also the best performance by an Argentine. The Argentine Olympic Committee quickly echoed Gravier's great result: 'First Olympic participation for Tiziano Gravier. With determination and great composure, our athlete made his debut in Milano-Cortina 2026. This is what he fears the most and sometimes he doesn't like to look at it'.
