River Plate to become first Buenos Aires stadium to sell beer during matches

River Plate will make history this Saturday by becoming the first stadium in Buenos Aires authorized to sell alcoholic beer during an official match. This measure comes amid a significant price update for 'Tu Lugar en el Monumental,' where locations granting access to this service are priced at luxury levels. According to Noticias Argentinas, the pilot program to be implemented ahead of the match against Tigre is primarily aimed at the San Martín and Belgrano Medias, Bajas e Inferiores sectors. In contrast, the popular Sívori and Centenario lower sectors have no extra cost, but their occupants do not access the VIP hospitality areas. How the system will work: Sales will not be open, and no drinks can be taken to the seating area. To secure a semi-season pass in these stands (San Martín/Belgrano Media), members must pay ARS $1,029,500. For the lower stands of the same sectors, prices range from ARS $680,000 to ARS $948,000, while upper stands cost ARS $227,000. This is a 'hospitality' system with controlled consumption in designated areas (Quilmes Space in the different stands and boxes). Restrictions: For adults only (18+). Limit: Maximum of 2 beers per person. Purchase: Must be made in advance via River ID, up to 8 hours before the match. To facilitate the return of fans after the 20:00 kick-off, the City has agreed to extend Line D subway service, with the last train leaving Congreso de Tucumán at 23:30.
