The Argentine rugby team Pampas has confirmed its squad for the sixth edition of the Super Rugby Americas 2026, the main tournament in South America where they will be seeking their first title.
According to the Argentine News Agency, this new edition of the tournament, which will begin on February 20 with the match between Dogos XV and Cobras Brasil, will feature eight teams, four of which will be Argentine (Pampas, Dogos XV, Tarucas, and Capibaras).
The Pampas squad will consist of a total of 44 players.
From there, the top four will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for June 12, while the grand final will take place just seven days later.
The best historical participation of Pampas in the Super Rugby Americas was in 2024, when they lost 37-23 in the final against Dogos XV.
The most winning team in the competition is Peñarol of Uruguay, which won the title in 2021, 2023, and 2025.
"We are very eager and full of energy for it to be a great year for Pampas," said Pampas head coach Juan Manuel Leguizamón. "I was motivated to be able to be at the helm of this team again to continue connecting with the boys and to build a working group in which we can all flow and enjoy."
The tournament will feature a qualifying phase of 14 rounds that will extend until June.
