The legal situation of Nicolás Payarola is taking new turns, as the lawyer who represented figures such as Wanda Nara and L-Gante has been in detention since the end of November. He is accused in several cases for alleged frauds.
According to the Argentine News Agency, it has been revealed in recent hours that another player from the Argentine national team is reportedly considering legal action against him. This information came to light on the 'Desayuno Americano' program (América TV), where journalist Carlos Salerno disclosed that, in addition to the already reported case by Gonzalo Montiel and his family, there is a second player affected by similar schemes.
Salerno recounted on air that the new individual had informally contacted the Montiel family and expressed having experienced a comparable situation: "He mentioned that he had given money to a brother, and that money ended up involved in a similar maneuver," explained the journalist, although he clarified that there is no formal complaint filed at the moment.
The football player in question, whose name was not mentioned, is reportedly evaluating whether to pursue legal action or keep the matter private to avoid greater public exposure: "I don't know if he will want to get into this mess," Salerno said, highlighting the player's doubts about the personal and media consequences of a lawsuit.
During the program, the journalist suggested that the athlete is part of the world champion squad, although he publicly ruled out figures like Lionel Messi, Cristian Romero, and Ángel Di María by symbolically setting them apart from the mentioned group.
Finally, the only confirmed complaint is the one filed by Montiel, involving a sum close to 700,000 dollars. It remains to be seen if this new testimony will translate into concrete judicial action or if the case will, for now, stay out of court.
