Racing's victory at home against Tigre on penalties 4-2 after a goalless draw in regular time has set the semi-final pairings for the 2025 Clausura Tournament, with the 'Academy' vs. Boca match being the main event.
On the other side of the bracket, Estudiantes de La Plata will face Gimnasia y Esgrima in a new edition of the La Plata derby with the aim of reaching the final in Santiago del Estero on December 13th and becoming the new Argentine football champion.
Just like in the round of 16 and quarter-finals, these matches will be held at the home of the higher-ranked team. If the tie persists after the extra thirty minutes, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout.
