Argentine driver Franco Colapinto (Alpine) will compete in this Saturday's sprint race of the Qatar Grand Prix, the twenty-third round of the Formula 1 championship. Colapinto will start from the last position following his poor performance in Friday's qualifying. Regarding the battle for the win, Australian Oscar Piastri (McLaren) will start from pole position, followed by British driver George Russell (Mercedes). One position behind will be the championship leader, another Briton Lando Norris (McLaren), while his main rival, Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull), will start from sixth place. The Qatar Grand Prix sprint race, which is one-third the length of a normal race and awards eight points to the winner, seven to second, and so on down to eighth, will begin at 11:00 AM (Argentina time) and will be covered live by the Argentine News Agency.
