Buenos Aires, November 18 (NA) – A new scandal in the Primera Nacional featured Deportivo Madryn, after the Justice ruled in favor of Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy. This is because the complaint filed by referee Lucas Comesaña for alleged threats was dismissed and archived by the prosecutor in the case, Diego Funes, as learned by the Argentine News Agency. It all began on Sunday, October 19, when Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy was winning 1-0 against Deportivo Madryn, in the first leg of the Primera Nacional's Reucedido quarterfinals. During halftime of that match, referee Comesaña detailed that the former secretary of the Jujuy team, Leandro Mayor, entered the locker room and made several threats. In this context, Comesaña stated that the conditions were not met to continue the match and ended up suspending it. Finally, the AFA's Disciplinary Tribunal decided to (very) quickly take action and give the match to Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy as a 3-0 loss, condemning them in the series since Deportivo Madryn won 1-0 in the second leg. A few weeks later, when the sporting damage to Gimnasia de Jujuy was already done, the prosecutor in the case confirmed that nothing of what was reported constituted threats and even detailed that the fourth referee of that match, Gustavo Benítez, was denounced by the mother of a ball boy for telling him: "Come on, get out, fucking Bolivian." As if this were not enough, prosecutor Funes assured that the security of the refereeing body was guaranteed at all times for the match to continue, thus contradicting what the referee Comesaña had stated. In this way, a new scandal involving Deportivo Madryn is added, which last weekend reached the final of the Reduced after defeating Deportivo Morón 1-0 in a match that ended in a massive brawl between the two teams.
