Argentinos Juniors will play in the preliminary round if no spots are freed up. For now, River would be playing in the Sudamericana, but if they manage to win the Clausura, they will have access to the group stage of the Libertadores. Otherwise, the 'Guapo' will use that spot. Meanwhile, if 'Canalla', 'Boca' or 'Bicho' win, they will participate in the Playoffs. For its part, in addition to 'Millonario', Racing, Deportivo Riestra, San Lorenzo, Lanús, and Tigre are qualified for the second-tier international competition. However, if Granate becomes champion of the current edition, it will free up an additional spot for said tournament, which Barracas Central will take by occupying the tenth place in the LPF. Likewise, if the winner of the local championship comes from the first nine of the table, it will also free up a spot for Independiente (11th) to have its place in the Sudamericana, provided that Lanús manages to win the international title.
