The Argentina U17 team finished as the best team in the group stage of the U17 World Cup in Qatar 2025. As a result, they will face in the Round of 16 the worst of the third-placed teams: Mexico.
Under the guidance of Diego Placente, the team achieved three victories in three matches, with a resounding 7-0 win over Fiji to close out the initial stage. These strong performances allowed the national team to be the best of all the participating teams in the new format with 48 teams.

If Argentina advances past the Round of 16, they will play in the quarterfinals against the winner of Portugal vs. Belgium.
