The reason is that they failed to complete the yellow fever vaccination procedures on time. Yellow fever is a viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes and is present in some parts of Africa and South America. Travelers to these regions must be vaccinated to prevent infection. The Argentine Football Association stated in a statement: "The players did not complete the necessary health procedures related to the yellow fever vaccine on time, which is a requirement for entry into Angola".
