Former coach Ricardo Caruso Lombardi defended himself against the post published last night by the treasurer of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), stating that he detests the 'dirt' that both Toviggino and AFA president Claudio Tapia brought into the association. Additionally, Caruso asserted that the treasurer 'knows nothing about football' and demanded that he pay the owed bonuses to the squad and coaching staff of Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero, the club he is associated with. The new post was in response to a very controversial one posted by Toviggino on Wednesday night and is part of a long list of aggressions between the two mentioned figures. The war between the AFA and Ricardo Caruso Lombardi continues, and it shows no sign of an end. The former coach of Racing and San Lorenzo, among other clubs in Argentine football and one in Uruguayan football, responded to Pablo Toviggino's criticisms and wrote a post on the social network X (formerly Twitter), which began by calling the treasurer 'Tovicochino'. In the publication, the coach advocated for the payment of the owed bonuses to the players and coaching staff of Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero, as during the week coach Omar De Felippe had also claimed not to have received them. He called Toviggino a 'rat' and stated that he hates 'the dirt' he put into Argentine football as the right-hand man of AFA president Claudio 'Chiqui' Tapia. Moreover, Caruso recalled having studied to be a coach in order to label the treasurer an 'opportunist' and to judge him for 'knowing nothing about football' and having become 'a multimillionaire from the ball'. On Wednesday night, Toviggino had made a post calling the coach an 'extortionist' and 'opportunist', asserting that 'his only argument is hatred' and accusing him of 'wanting to kill the AFA president because he never called him', as well as considering him a 'hater of Argentine and popular football'.
