Marcos Galperín hints at Franco Colapinto's contract renewal with Alpine

Marcos Galperín, the creator of Mercado Libre, has fueled rumors about the renewal of Argentine driver Franco Colapinto's contract with the Alpine team by sharing an enigmatic post on social media, suggesting that the agreement will continue until 2026. The message, which is a repost from the company's CEO in Brazil, Sean Summers, appeared on the eve of the Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix, where the initial contract will expire. Brazil will be the last race of the original agreement between Alpine and Colapinto, which included the Argentine's participation in three Grands Prix. However, everything indicates that there will be a continuation of the alliance. It is expected that this Friday, coinciding with the start of free practice at Interlagos, Colapinto will sign the renewal with the French team. If confirmed, Colapinto will start the weekend in Brazil with a new agreement with the French team and an extended projection until 2026.
