Franco Colapinto is at the center of growing rumors about a possible contract renewal with the Formula 1 team, Alpine. The team posted on social media a message that many are interpreting as a hint towards confirming the new deal. The post included the numbers 07, 11, and 25, corresponding to the date of next Friday, November 7th, along with the query, “Have you done the maths yet?”
The sum of these numbers is 43, which is Colapinto's race number. This post came on the eve of the Brazilian Grand Prix, which the Argentine driver calls his “home race” because it is the closest to his country and is filled with Argentines in the stands.
In the current 2025 season, Colapinto has had an acceptable performance, with his best result being an 11th place at the Dutch Grand Prix. He has notably outpaced his teammate Jack Doohan and has finished ahead of the more experienced Pierre Gasly six times out of their 14 shared races. Given these performances and the team's hints, many consider a contract renewal to be likely.
