Argentinian tennis players Camilo Ugo Carabelli and Francisco Comesaña advanced to the second round of the Masters 1000 in Rome after defeating Spain's Pablo Carreño Busta and Germany's Daniel Altmaier, respectively.

Ugo Carabelli had a tough challenge against Carreño Busta, a player who has had standout moments in the past but has faced injuries in recent seasons. Despite the quality of his opponent, Ugo Carabelli showed great performance to take the victory 6-2, 1-6, and 6-3. He is now preparing to face German Alexander Zverev in the next round.

On the other hand, Francisco Comesaña demonstrated solid form by defeating Altmaier 6-1 and 7-5, consolidating his good year and aspirations to climb the ranking. In his next match, Comesaña will face Danish player Holger Rune.

Additionally, Argentinians Tomás Etcheverry and Román Burruchaga will also participate in the tournament. Etcheverry, who has not had a good year, will urgently seek to earn points against Serbian Laslo Djere. Meanwhile, Burruchaga, after successfully qualifying, will face Italian Lorenzo Sonego in an exciting match ahead.
