Martínez, World Champion with the Argentine National Team in Qatar 2022, referred to the final stretch of the season that his team, Inter Milan, has ahead.
"Since the first match of this edition and since we lost the final, we know we are capable. I cried at home for the first few days because it was not what I wanted. I tried to recover despite the little time I had and I was able to be on the field," Martínez revealed in television statements. He added that, despite the injury, he was determined to play and contribute to the team.
The Argentine forward emphasized the importance of being on the field helping his teammates and thanked the support of the fans. "In these moments is when I like being on the field helping my teammates and making this people happy who supported us," he expressed. Additionally, he sent a greeting to his mother, who opposed him playing the match due to his injury.
The next challenge for Inter will be the Champions League final on Saturday, May 31, while in the Serie A of Italy they continue to fight for the title, currently positioned as runners-up to Napoli. Despite the difficulties, Martínez highlighted the great opportunity they have to make history with the club.
