The defensive midfielder Under 20 of Boca Juniors, Milton Delgado, has been recognized by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) as the best in his position among the top leagues in the world. The distinction evaluated players born after 2005, and Delgado stood out above talents such as Warren Zaïre-Emery from Paris Saint-Germain and Lucas Bergvall from Tottenham, who took second and third places respectively.
The 19-year-old shone at the South American Under 20, quickly becoming a prominent figure in Boca Juniors' squad and earning recognition from fans. Even the head coach of the Argentina National Team, Lionel Scaloni, praised his performance, suggesting that Delgado could have a future in the national team at some point.
Delgado has played 11 matches in the current season, providing one assist. He missed six matches while representing Argentina in the youth tournament, but has played 90 minutes in eight of the matches he was available for, demonstrating his worth in midfield and his potential to establish himself as a promising figure in Argentine football.
