Ugo Carabelli, who had lost in three sets to American Ethan Quinn (135th), seemed to be saying goodbye to the tournament. However, the withdrawal of Chilean Nicolás Jarry (47th) allowed him to enter at the last moment as a "lucky loser." Thus, he joins fellow Argentinians Francisco Comesaña (67th) and Thiago Tirante (117th) as the national representatives who passed the qualifiers.

Once the qualifying phase for the Miami Open concluded, Ugo Carabelli, Comesaña, and Tirante were placed in the main draw of the tournament. Comesaña will first play against Italian Federico Cina (441st), followed by Ugo Carabelli who will face Brandon Holt (116th). Thiago Tirante will play against Flavio Cobolli (43rd) on Thursday, with the time still to be confirmed.
