The forward of Unión de Santa Fe, Diego Armando Díaz, celebrated his first goal in the Primera División of Argentine football during the match last Monday, in which his team defeated Banfield 3-1 in the tenth round of the Torneo Apertura.

Díaz, 23 years old, managed to score after recovering a ball in midfield and receiving a pass behind him from Lautaro Vargas. Skillfully, the forward got rid of goalkeeper Facundo Sanguinetti and finished with precision to seal the victory.

Initially, the goal was disallowed for an alleged offside, but after review, referee Darío Herrera validated it, giving Díaz his first goal in the top category of Argentine football.

Diego Armando Díaz had a previous stint at Sportivo Las Parejas and in 2024 joined Susanense, where he scored 47 goals in 43 matches. His effectiveness did not go unnoticed by the management of Unión de Santa Fe, who decided to bet on the young forward.

With this opportunity in the "Tatengue" team, Díaz will participate in the Copa Sudamericana, where Unión will share Group E with Cruzeiro, Palestino, and Mushuc Runa.
