Juan Fernando Quintero's representative, Rodrigo Riep, has mentioned the possibility of a third cycle for the Colombian midfielder at River Plate, as both parties share that desire. However, this return is hindered by a clause imposed by Racing Club, led at the time by Víctor Blanco. Racing established a 12-month restriction to prevent Quintero from returning to Argentine football, and despite this limitation, those around the player do not rule out a return in the future.
Riep, who is a former player of River and Quintero's current representative, left the door open for a return, although so far there have been no formal contacts from the Núñez club. Meanwhile, Quintero is focused on his present with América de Cali, but his connection with River remains in place and the option of a third cycle at the club is still on the table. In an interview with a River-affiliated media outlet, Riep mentioned: "Today, his present is América de Cali and he must enjoy it, but he has space reserved in case the opportunity arises."
