Colombian midfielder Kevin Castaño is in the process of signing with River Plate, after arriving from Krasnodar in Russia. His incorporation into the Argentine team began with medical examinations, which will allow him to sign his contract and join training with his new teammates.

Kevin Castaño had to undergo the medical examination in two stages, as due to the length of his flight he could not complete it in a single session. However, the procedure has been successfully carried out, and it is expected that his inclusion in the team will be officially announced soon.

It is estimated that the 24-year-old midfielder will be available for River Plate's next match against Deportivo Riestra, after completing the contract signing process and adapting to the team. Castaño joined River for a sum of 13.8 million dollars, thus becoming the second most expensive signing in the club's history, after Lucas Pratto.

It is worth noting that River Plate will be the fourth team in Kevin Castaño's professional career, having previously played for Águilas Doradas in Colombia, Cruz Azul in Mexico, and Krasnodar in Russia. Additionally, the footballer was part of the Colombian national team that reached the final of the 2024 Copa América, where they were defeated by Argentina 1-0.
