Los Pumas in Action: Upcoming Matches in July

The Argentine Rugby Union has announced the schedule for Los Pumas for the year 2025, in which a total of thirteen matches will be played between the Rugby Championship and international test matches. Out of these matches, five will take place in Argentina.

The team led by Felipe Contepomi will begin action on July 5 at the Estadio UNO in La Plata, where they will face England in the first match. One week later, on Saturday, August 23, Los Pumas will once again host New Zealand at the José Amalfitani Stadium in Buenos Aires, a regular venue for the Argentine team.

The match against Uruguay, scheduled for July 19, is expected to take place at the Padre Martearena Stadium in Salta. If confirmed, it will mark the return of Los Pumas to that province after their last appearance in 2022.

Additionally, Los Pumas will play twice against the All Blacks in the 2025 Visa Macro Rugby Championship. The match on July 12 will be held at the Bicentenario Stadium in San Juan.

Argentine fans eagerly anticipate these home matches, marking each match date on their calendars. The first match will be on Saturday, August 16, at the Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium in Córdoba, marking the team's return to that province after 11 years.

Although it was initially thought that six matches would be played in Argentina, the UAR confirmed that the last match of the Rugby Championship that Argentina was scheduled to play at home has been moved to London. Los Pumas will face South Africa at Twickenham Stadium, 11,000 kilometers from Buenos Aires.

With a year full of competition, Los Pumas face the challenge of consolidating their playing identity and competing against the best teams in the world.
