In 2018, Villa La Ñata and in 2019, San Lorenzo, were the other two teams that managed to take the LNFA trophy. This year, Boca will not be present in the LNFA 2025, despite being one of the teams that has played the most finals in the competition, with four runners-up between 2018 and 2023. Nevertheless, the 'Xeneize' crowned themselves champion of the Argentine Supercup by defeating River 3 to 1 at the Roberto Pando stadium last Sunday.
With this triumph, Boca achieved its first title of the 2025 season, demonstrating the effectiveness of its strikers and the solidity of its goalkeeper. This victory marked Boca's return to the top of the Supercup, a trophy they last won in 2023.
The 2025 Argentine National Futsal League (LNFA) already has a confirmed date and will take place from March 9 to March 15. This will be the second national futsal competition of the year, following the conclusion of the Supercup that crowned Boca as the winner. The draw for the LNFA will be next March 5 at 12:00, where the zones will be defined.
Although the venue has not yet been confirmed, it is expected to be at Argentinos Juniors. Eight teams will participate in the competition, divided into two zones of four teams, and the top two from each zone will advance to the semifinals. Among the participating teams are representatives from AFA such as 17 de Agosto, Barracas Central, Pinocho, and Franja de Oro, as well as clubs from the interior like Camioneros (Rio Grande), Academia Deportiva del Fuego (Rio Grande), Alborada (Bariloche), and Opción Joven (Rio Gallegos).
Compared to the 2023 edition, this competition will have fewer participants, reducing from 16 to eight teams. In the previous tournament, the champion was Barracas Central, who defeated Boca 3-2 on penalties after a 4-4 draw in the match. Barracas Central is the most decorated team in this competition with three titles (2021-2022-2023) since it was created five editions ago.
