Elián Irala stays in San Lorenzo

Midfielder Elián Irala will remain a part of San Lorenzo after his transfer to Internacional de Porto Alegre in Brazil did not materialize. At 20 years old, he has stood out as one of the key players of the team in the fight for the top of Group B of the Apertura Tournament of the Professional Football League.

Irala's performance has sparked the interest of several foreign clubs, with Internacional de Porto Alegre being one of the most interested. The Brazilian team, which will participate in the Copa Libertadores this semester, agreed to a loan deal worth 400 thousand dollars for the player, with a mandatory purchase option for 80% of his rights for 3 million dollars, conditioned on him playing at least 60% of the matches of the season.

However, despite everything seeming to be in place for Irala's move to Brazilian football, divergences arose over the purchase conditions that caused the transfer to fall through. This led to the player remaining at San Lorenzo, at least until next June.

In Irala's words: "I am happy to continue at San Lorenzo, it is a great club that provides me the opportunity to keep growing as a footballer. My commitment will always be to the institution and I will work hard to continue giving my best in every match."
